My Art Manifestation Chapter 5:

Always keep this in mind about the existence of the universe: the existence of the universe is obliged to energy whether they say it came into being arbitrarily or as a result of intelligent design or any other theory.  Whichever theories or laws of physics or mathematics are considered they all must have energy at the basis. No belief or model explaining the universe discuss this, because if there is no energy, there is no universe that we know. Therefore, there is no discussion. What am I about to mention? It has been argued for centuries that it is either intelligent design or coincidental existence. However, the address of the debate is not the universe itself, but the energy that creates it, its raw material. Then what is energy? This is the main problem. Therefore, I will include quite detailed questions and answers based on the data in the literature on what energy is. Let’s start with the definition of energy first.

Energy: the power that exists in matter and it is in the form of heat and light. (Dictionary meaning)

The common definition in science literature: energy is the capacity of a system to do work. In short, it is the power to do work. Substances can change their current physical state only by using energy.

There is an interesting and pleasant situation in the explanation of “energy is the power of doing work”, because the matter itself, which will do the work and use the energy, is made up of energy. In addition, it is energy that creates the environment and conditions of the work to be done. The power to do work is also energy. It turns out that everything that happens and exists in the universe is energy; there is nothing but energy!

Then this is the question that needs to be asked and answered. ‘What is energy originally?’ Let’s look at the explanations of science for the answer. First, let’s look at the Nobel Prize-winning physics professor Richard P. Feynman quoted explaining the law of conservation of energy.

“There are many different forms of energy and a formula for each. These are gravitational energy, kinetic energy, heat energy, elasticity energy, electrical energy, chemical energy, radiation energy, nuclear energy, mass energy. If we add the formulas for each of these ingredients, the total will not change except for the energies entering and leaving. Today it’s important to realize that we don’t know what energy is in physics.” (Richard Feynman. Six Easy Pieces. pp. 101-102)

Let me now quote the Scottish theoretical physicist James Clerk Maxwell, who invented Electromagnetics, as given in the physics textbook “Classical Dynamics of Particles and Systems“.

“Therefore, we must think of the energy of a material system as a quantity to which we can give an increasing or decreasing value as the system moves from one certain state to another. In a standard situation, the absolute value of energy is not known to us, and even if we know, it has no value for us. Because all phenomena depend on changes in energy, not on the absolute value of the energy. ” Classical Dynamics of Particles and Systems. Stephen T. Thornton, Jerry B. Marion. P. 80.

Making these highly technical explanations clearer, Maxwell said that all phenomena in the universe depend on changes in energy. In other words, he says, everything we can measure and give a value is energy that has been transformed from one state into another. Feynman, after listing the known types of energy, explained that the total energy ratio in the universe did not change, and then noted that we do not know what energy is. Let me clarify the subject a little more.

There are two states of energy in the Big bang model that is accepted today. One is the state of singularity, in which energy has not been activated and the Big bang has not started yet. The other is the state of the same energy that created the universe by acting (Big bang). The types of energy explained by science and mentioned by Feynman are the result of the energy that transforms from one state to another and forms the entire living and inanimate universe. Again, the energy which science and Feynman say that we do not know, is the energy in singularity or in a state where no movement exists or does not start. In order to understand this situation better, let me make an analogy with flour and wheat.

We know flour and we can make countless bakery products from flour such as pastries, donuts, desserts, cookies, and bread varieties. We also know that flour comes from wheat, the origin is wheat. As for energy, we also know that everything in the universe is made up of energy, from particles to atoms, molecules to stars, galaxies, and space. So we know that the essence of everything that exists is originated from energy and we use it. The difference is this: we know that the origin of flour is wheat, but we do not know what the origin of energy is. This is the situation that science is trying to explain. Briefly, we don’t know what energy is, we just know what it does!

Let me explain in another way. If energy had not changed its original state of singularity, that is, had it not activated and inflated and formed the universe, there would have been none of the types of energy that we know and explain. In short, this universe would not exist. But pure energy in the singular state would exist by preserving its state –whatever it was. Apparently our universe has found the energy ready that contains all the required conditions to constitute itself.

The problem does not end here. Since we don’t know what energy is, we don’t know how it exists as it is! I’ll come to this later. For now, let’s continue the topic of what energy is with its singularity.

According to the literature, one goes back to only the singularity state of the energy, not any further. Because there is no dimension! There is no such thing as width, length, and most importantly, depth, that is, back and forth, there is no space. There is no time either! Let me remind you that again; we have nothing but energy! There is nothing outside, in the front, behind! All these measures started with Big bang. Therefore, one can go back to the singularity before the Big bang, but not any further. For the same reason, since there is no time, it is not known how long the energy is left in the singularity.

However, it is a fact that singularity is a state and every situation has a duration. Otherwise, that situation has not happened and cannot be mentioned. But we know that energy has changed its stable state in the singularity by acting while the universe exists. If there is no Planck time or a shorter time between the two changing states, there is no singularity. If no time period was given between the two, a dilemma comes forward: “either the Big bang started just like a bomb explosion as soon as energy came into being at zero time or there was an eternal energy.”  We have to insist on speculating, leaning back on science, in order to find logical ideas and answers about these dilemmas.

So, let’s start by asking this: what would happen if the energy that could not be given a time period for the state of singularity was given a time of existence before Big bang? Or, on the contrary, what happens if time is not given? I said before that in both cases there would be complex questions and dilemmas.

Firstly; singularity or any other definition, whatever it is, if you say there is energy, no matter how far you go back to the beginning of the universe, you cannot go back to a point where energy does not exist, because it exists. Indeed, although the energy that constitutes the universe shrinks on an atomic scale in singularity, its amount does not change, because the closed system becomes infinitely dense since it is a system with no entry, exit, increase or decrease. So, if there is no decrease in the density and structure of the energy, it will not shrink in line with our expectation and will not come to the point of disappearance. This means that we will probably not know how energy exists! Because we are faced with an endlessly concentrated ready-made energy. Of course, there are speculations of scientists on this subject. I will continue in the next part.
